Mohamed Adly
Chief Strategy and People Officer
Mohamed Adly has been the Chief of Strategy and People Officer in Canal Sugar Company since July 2021. In this role, Mohamed oversees critical functions that instill Canal Sugar’s conscious culture, contribute to the company’s overall performance, and advance the company’s purpose to transform the sugar industry.
Mohamed is responsible for the continued advancement of the company’s aspirations to be a contributor to Egypt’s National food Security with a focus on increasing diverse representation, empowering courageous conversations, and investing strategically in communities. As part of this focus, Mohamed leads the development of programs and partnerships that drive diversity, inclusion, and engagement as part of the business strategy internally as well as externally.
A 30-year veteran of Human Resources and Supply Chain, Mohamed has extensive experience leading organizational transformations, driving large scale growth, cultivating successful leaders and teams, and constructing an employee-first culture. Prior to his current role, he served as HR Senior Director and Operations Director in Procter and Gamble as well as PepsiCo. Mohamed supported the startup of the Paper business of Procter and Gamble in Egypt and led a lot of transformation projects in PepsiCo. Besides HR, he held positions in the Supply Chain and Manufacturing across different geographies in the Arab Gulf area, Europe and southeast Asia which created an executive with a growth mindset and cultural sensitivity.
Born in 1968, Mohamed Holds a BSC of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication. He was trained in Michigan University for the Advanced Human Resources for Executives, and he is a certified Trainer in Leadership and Technical Troubleshooting Trainings.
