Ahmed Joined Canal Sugar in April 2022 as Strategy & Transformation Officer at Canal Sugar.
Before that date Ahmed was acting as Business Transformation & Assurance Sr. Manager at Canal Sugar,
where he was responsible for Setting up and managing the Business Transformation & Assurance
function in Canal Sugar and managing the Roll-out of SAP implementation in the company.
From 2015-2019 Ahmed was Business Transformation Manager at Jamal Al Ghurair Group, where he was responsible for the development of the Group’s business transformation strategy & roadmap and led the cost optimization strategy and led the revamp of the management structure, processes and scorecards.
From 2013-2015, he worked as Continuous Improvement Champion at MARS, where he led the development & deployment of MARS 3-years Operational Excellence Roadmap & led the design & deployment of a factory management system.
From 2011-2013, Ahmed worked as Lean Manager – Middle East & North Africa at SC Johnson where he led LEAN transformation /TPM pillar deployment at Egypt & Saudi sites & developed the overall program approach, plan & training materials. Before this date and specifically from 2010, Ahmed worked as Global Lean Architect at SC Johnson also where he kicked-off LEAN transformation at SCJ-Europlant & Co-piloted the plant transformation on Operating systems, Management infrastructure and Mindset, Behavior and Capabilities.
In his early years, Ahmed worked in HI-Pack Group for Packaging as Senior Business Development Engineer where he Deployed & established the strategic framework for the organization Balanced scorecard “Group-level”, coordinated strategic planning activities & monitoring Executions progress and benchmarked activities with sister companies.
Ahmed is a graduate of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Ain Shams University. In 2017, he also obtained an MBA from the German University in Cairo. Additionally, he is Lean/ Kaizen Coach certified from Cardiff University.
