Mohamed Hussein Taha has been the General Manager of Outsourced Beet Supply in Canal Sugar since May 2022. In this role, Mohamed secures 55% of the beet supply quantity necessary from traditional & mechanical farmers to satisfy our factory production yearly capacity from all over Egypt.

Mohamed is responsible for transforming our seasonal contracts with the farmers into long-term partnerships. Through “Canal Sugar Fam” academy that would introduce precision agricultural techniques, continuous monitoring, and supervision to the traditional farmers to improve our crop plantation, minimizing the use of fertilizers and water, therefore increasing their yield and revenue.

Before joining Canal Sugar, Mohamed was the Founder & CEO, of Thebes Sustainability Packaging company (Thebes Pack). He lived and worked in 3 continents, in different sectors with different capacities. Mohamed started his career in manufacturing with Procter & Gamble in 1997. Shifting between several roles from operations to logistics, till reaching the Supply Chain Director for Mars Egypt in 2004. Then, he joined Barclays Bank in 2006 as Head of Change to lead the transformation of Retail Expansion. After that, he joined the National Commercial Bank in 2007 as the Head of the Operational Excellence Department. After which, he was promoted as the Senior Vice president of NCB in 2012.

Born in 1973. Mohamed Holds a BSC in Mechanical Engineering, & master’s degree in Business Administration from the American university in Cairo in 1997.
