Factory Environmental and Social Impact Study (ESIA) findings

  • Through using the same techniques as the farm ESIA to examine the environmental setting of the project area, the construction and operational phases and addressing stakeholders, the environmental consultant drew the following conclusions on the factory:
  • Positive social impacts:
    • Filling the supply gap in sugar where a third of local demand is being fulfilled by imports.
    • Development of Upper Egypt governorate
